The Haley
Group began 8 years ago. In that time we are happy to
say we have dozens of happy sellers. One of the reasons
we love this business so much is we truly offer a
service to our clients. Very few business owners know
how to market and successfully sell their own company.
Realtors don't provide the service either really. Only a
professional business broker is knowledgeable in the day
to day requirements to get this task accomplished while
allowing the owner to run their own business. As members
of the California Association of Business Brokers we are
spreading the word to all business owners about the
professional services a business broker provides. Our
association is now made up of over 600 professional
brokers who work together to sell the client's business
in a way that benefits the client the most.
The Haley
Group continues to strive for professionalism by having
one of the brokers in the group achieving the
designation of Certified Business Intermediary (CBI)
offered by the International Business Brokers
Association and the CBB (Certified Business Broker)
designation offered by the California Association of
Business Brokers . Fewer than 5% of the Business Brokers in
the United States receive this designation.

publishing company for almost 40 years and recently
sold it to join our group. Howard has all the
sensitivities required to represent San Joaquin
Valley business owners. Howard's training also
includes being a CPA and USAF Pilot. Howard has
served as Distinguished Club President, Governor
and Distinguished Lt. Governor of Western States
Kiwanis. Howard lives in Fresno with his wife Karen.
 Jim
Koshak-San Francisco East Bay-Jim
Koshak brings over 25 years of relevant senior
management experience with multi-national
corporations that benefits The Haley Group’s
clients. During his career as President and Vice
President/General Manager of several small to
mid-size businesses, he has successfully negotiated
and implemented acquisitions and divestitures of
numerous businesses in a variety of industries. He
has personally evaluated and negotiated the
potential purchase of private companies for his own
interests. Jim grew up in a family construction
business, which also gives him an understanding of
small family owned businesses. Jim holds a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Engineering from the University
of Wisconsin and an MBA from Loyola
University-Chicago.

Bob Fonarow-Monterey County to Morgan Hill-
Bob is former CEO of
California Event Management, a trade show organizer.
Bob spent 20 years of his career in Marin County as
the owner of a full service mortgage company. Bob
moved to Paso Robles from Carmel where he spent a
number of years in business and was a member of the
Rotary Club there. He is a Certified Management
Consultant with the Institute of Management
Consultants.He is a former Group Chair with TEC/Vistage,
a leading CEO membership organization. Bob is a
member and former Board Director of Paso Robles
Rotary and is a director of the Paderewski Festival.
He is active with the Chamber of Commerce and is on
the Agriculture Business Tour Committee and the
Education Committee.
Bob is Chair of the City of Paso Robles
Redevelopment Project Area Committee.
Bob is a Distinguished Toastmaster and a Public
Speaking instructor in the Rotary Leadership
